A homely style cafe in the corner of Gammeltorv Square serving traditional Danish food
Our first day in Copenhagen started off a little late and we had missed breakfast.
Google Maps decided everywhere was closed, or not gluten free, and I was getting progressively more hungry.
This place was fairly busy and a look at the menu showed they had some gluten free items.
They do take walk ins but they are very busy. The people who arrived after us were turned away. You'll likely want to book ahead if you're on a tight schedule.
Pico Pizza
What is better than 1 pizza? 3 pizzas. With butternut squash as a cheese substitute.
Good gluten free pizza is hard to find. It's hidden at Skyttegade 3, 2200 København N, Denmark.
This unexpected find was worth the 10 minute bike ride from central station. Good food, good drinks, and an open kitchen to enjoy the show. The most important things in life.
Naturbageriet
You cannot leave Copenhagen without trying a Danish pastry.
Our final morning in Copenhagen was drizzly but we were on a pastry mission.
Located about 10 minutes ride from Central Station Naturbageriet is a popular bakery with a whole selection of gluten free and vegan baked goods.
My selection: Tebirkes, Cinnamon Swirl, Marcipan Medalje.
Verdict: the rainy ride was worth it.
Copenhagen is a fun destination to add to your holiday list. With a huge selection of gluten free food and restaurants to choose from you won't have to look too far to find a place to eat.
